PennWell Corporation today announced one of its flagship events, Asia Power Week, the largest and most comprehensive conference and exhibition for the power generation industry in Asia will return to Bangkok in 2017, as it marks 25 consecutive years as the premier power industry event.
The regional event is expected to attract more than 8,000 delegates from over 75 countries across Asia and around the world, and brings together POWER-GEN Asia and Renewable Energy World Asia under the one roof at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre, Bangkok on 19-21 September 2017.
Dr. Heather Johnstone, ASIA Power Week Event Director, said the team are excited to be returning to Bangkok for the fourth time in six years after the most recent hosting in Seoul, South Korea in 2016. “Asia Power Week provides the power generation industry with a one-of-a-kind event, and in 2017 we are aiming to bring our largest delegation to Thailand yet. The event highlights the industry’s focus on low carbon energy technologies. Increasingly, renewable energy generation is becoming a high priority for governments in the region, adding to the already great need for investment, whilst the conventional power generation industry is in higher demand than ever before,” she said.
“We therefore feel that the combination of POWER-GEN Asia and Renewable Energy World Asia under the Asia Power Week brand enables us to reach the industry as a whole and to encourage networking, business and knowledge sharing across the whole spectrum of the industry.”
Coinciding with the announcement of next year’s event, PennWell is now accepting paper abstracts for the 2017 event to compile the 6 conference tracks across POWER-GEN Asia and Renewable Energy World Asia.
“We are pleased to extend the invitation to industry experts across the region to submit an abstract for Asia Power Week for them to represent their company at the most prestigious event in the power generation industry. This is an excellent opportunity to get recognition from sharing your knowledge, experience and ideas with technical and strategic decision-makers and strategists from national and global levels,” said Dr. Johnstone.
“These abstracts will help our expert advisory board develop a programme that addresses the most pressing issues of the industry and that aims to educate and engage our delegates and the wider power generation industry. A more detailed announcement of the programme’s details will be made next year.”
In 2017, POWER-GEN Asia will celebrate its 25th annual gathering with a comprehensive conference programme for the power generation industry, positioning it as the region’s premier conference and exhibition dedicated to the power generation, renewable and alternative energy industries. In addition, various conference sessions will be devoted to financing renewable and conventional power projects as part of our inclusion of the Power Finance topic.
Renewable Energy World Asia will again bring together professionals and industry experts from the renewable energy industry and includes a two-track conference focusing on all aspects of low carbon energy including hydro, wind and solar.
The three-day long event also boasts a large exhibition floor, with an expected 200+ exhibitors demonstrating the latest and leading technologies and solutions, and delivering a quality audience and experience to all who exhibit and attend, enabling high-level networking and business opportunities for delegates and sponsors.
