ACWA Power, a Saudi developer of energy and desalination projects, announced on April 7 that it has finalized its agreement with the Egyptian government to build the 200MW Kom Ombo PV power plant. At a virtual event, both parties signed a 25-year PPA and a network connection contract. French renewable project developer Voltalia stated via a press release that it has secured a new 100MW solar tender from Albania. The tendered project is named Spitalla and will be located in the city of Durrës on the coast of the Adriatic Sea. This is the second Albanian solar project captured by the company in less than a year. As the global market sustained the severe impact from the COVID-19 pandemic during 2020, Taya managed to expand its business territory, and produced a combined revenue of NT$18.3 billion, alongside a new high in earnings per share (EPS) at NT$1.45.
