South African food retailer and supermarket chain Shoprite (officially named The Shoprite Group of Companies) announced in late April that it will contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions by building its own utility-scale solar and wind projects. Juwi Shizen Begins Construction of Canadian Solar’s Azuma Kofuji 1 Solar Power Plant

Earlier this April, Canadian Solar and Juwi Shizen Energy announced the commencement of the construction of the Azuma Kofuji 1 Solar Power Plant in Fukushima, Japan. Canadian Solar is the developer of this project, and Juwi Shizen Energy is the contracted EPC firm.
