Taiwan’s monsoons mean that offshore wind power installations can be carried out only six months every year. Unfortunately, the proliferation of the COVID-19 pandemic in 1H21 has delayed most of these installations. Meyer Burger Obtains Funding for Expanding Its Module Production Capacity by 400MW by 2022

Renewable energy news outlets reported in the middle of June that Meyer Burger, a Swiss provider of manufacturing equipment for PV products, has secured a €125 million loan from German financial institution Ostsächsische Sparkasse Dresden and a €60 million loan from another unnamed German financial institution to expand its production capacity. Meyer Burger has also revealed that it intends to build a new module production plant. NV Energy, a public utility that serves the state of Nevada in the US, submitted its three-year Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) to the Public Utility Commission of Nevada (PUCN) on June 1. The goal of the IRP is to facilitate Nevada’s energy transition and ultimately attain carbon neutrality for the state by 2050.
