According to Solarbe, on April 15, 2025, the National Production Protection Directorate of the Jordanian Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply published a notice in the official Jordanian gazette announcing the initiation of an anti-dumping investigation on photovoltaic cells originating in or imported from China, following an application from the Jordanian domestic producer Philadelphia Solar Energy Company.
The period of investigation for dumping is from January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024, and the period of investigation for injury is from January 1, 2022, to December 31, 2024. The products under investigation are photovoltaic cells assembled in modules or prepared as panels, falling under Jordanian Customs Tariff Code 854143000. Unless extended otherwise (for a maximum of 6 months), the final determination is expected to be made within 12 months from the date of the announcement.
