According to Wechat Official Account @DESN_1, recently, at the Hainan Free Trade Port Global Investment Promotion Conference, Tunchang County, Changjiang County, and Wanning City each signed an energy storage project, totaling 1.8 GWh in installed capacity.

Among them, the Hainan Tunchang Hengneng Century New Energy 200MW/800MWh independent shared energy storage power station project has an investment of 850 million yuan and adopts a mature lithium iron phosphate battery energy storage system. It aims to alleviate peak and valley electricity load, ensure stable grid operation, promote local tax revenue and employment, and enhance the green and environmental protection level of Tunchang's energy structure.

The SPIC Hainan Changjiang Zero-Carbon No. 1 100MW/400MWh new energy storage project is Hainan's first 100MW/400MWh new energy storage project. Its annual power generation is equivalent to 15% of Changjiang's total social electricity consumption in 2022, and it can reduce carbon emissions by 880,000 tons per year. It will provide stable power support for the Clean Energy High-Tech Industrial Park and collaborate with the nuclear power base to create a "zero-carbon park."

The Hainan Jiazheng Wanning 200MW/400MWh independent energy storage project has an investment cycle of 1-3 years. The land use scale was not explicitly mentioned with specific data, but among the high-tech industrial projects signed in Wanning, this project and other projects together occupy more than 1300 mu of land.
