According to Official Account @DNE, on March 28th, the first piece of monocrystalline cell came off from the production line in the No.1 plant of Sichuan Shijing High-efficiency Solar Cell Manufacturing Base (hereinafter referred to as “Shijing Manufacturing Base”).
According to the information, Shijing production base is located in Ziyang LinKong Economic Zone Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park SanCaoWan Area. The project plans to construct an intelligent manufacturing plant with an annual output of 20GW high-performance monocrystalline silicon wafers and 20GW high-efficiency solar cell wafers, as well as auxiliary buildings and ancillary facilities, etc., with a joint investment of RMB10 billion by Shijing Technology and JinkoSolar.
The project covers an area of nearly 1,000 acres, with a total construction area of about 443,000 square meters, of which, the No.1 slicing plant is 870 meters long and 150 meters wide, with a construction area of 130,500 square meters.
It is reported that the base is the second PV manufacturing base laid out by Shijing Technology in China.
Previously in 2023, Shijing Technology announced the construction of an annual production capacity of 24GW high-efficiency N-type monocrystalline TOPCon cell project in Ningguo Economic Development Zone, Anhui Province, which was constructed in two phases, of which the first phase of 18GW TOPCon cell project has been put into production in December 2023.
In addition, the construction of the first 10GW high-efficiency photovoltaic module project in Ningguo Base, Anhui Province, has also been initiated.
