Accodring to ICC, ecently, Dynanonic reached an agreement with specialty minerals company ICL Group to jointly establish a lithium battery materials factory in Sallent, Catalonia, Spain. The factory, with an investment of €285 million and occupying approximately 25 acres, will be located close to a planned battery plant in the region. It is set to become the first factory in Spain’s Catalonia region to produce lithium iron phosphate (LFP) materials.
Dynanonic and ICL will hold 20% and 80% stakes in the factory, respectively. Both parties have commented on the collaboration. Wang Bao Ren, a representative from Dynanonic, stated that lithium iron phosphate is a key material for lithium batteries and essential for strengthening the new energy vehicle (NEV) supply chain. He emphasized that the joint venture leverages the strengths of both companies. Phil Brown from ICL highlighted that LFP is a critical solution for energy transition and expressed optimism about developing a significant new growth market together.
Dynanonic has been actively pursuing international expansion. The company has previously noted that it conducts thorough research and analysis of overseas markets and will proceed with its global expansion plans at an appropriate time. This partnership marks a milestone in Dynanonic's international journey, representing a key step toward its globalization strategy.
