According to Solarbe, on January 14, JA Solar signed a major module procurement agreement with China Energy Engineering Group (CEEC) during the 2025 World Future Energy Summit, the world's first large-scale photovoltaic exhibition.

Under the agreement, JA Solar will supply 1.25GW of high-efficiency n-type photovoltaic modules to CEEC, which will be used in the “Abydos II 1GW+600MWh” project, the largest solar + storage project in Africa.

The project was developed by AMEA Power and constructed by CEEC, using JA Solar DeepBlue 4.0 Pro PV modules.

As the largest optical storage project in Africa at present, its goal is to significantly increase the clean energy supply in the African region within 2025. The implementation of this project is of great significance in improving the energy structure, reliability and stability of power supply in the African region.
