On December 25, Tongwei Solar’s PV R&D Center announced that, following certification by TÜV, its TNC-G12 66 module achieved an impressive 763.4W front-side power output with a conversion efficiency of 24.58%. The TNC-G12R 66 module also set a new record, reaching 663.5W and 24.56% efficiency. Both modules surpass comparable modules in the market by 40W. These breakthroughs represent major advancements in TOPCon module performance.
Tongwei’s leadership in TOPCon technology, particularly with its PECVD technology, has been instrumental in these breakthroughs. PECVD technology, featured in Progress in Photovoltaics (PIP) in 2023, now holds a 56% global market share in TOPCon cell production. In 2024, Tongwei’s High-Efficiency N-Type TOPCon Solar Cell was recognized as a First Set of Major Technical Equipment in Sichuan, marking a significant achievement for solar technology in the region.
