On November 19, Great Power announced that it will invest in a 10 GWh energy storage core and energy storage system manufacturing plant in Guangde City, Anhui Province, and build an independent shared energy storage R&D base project. The project will be constructed in two phases, with the first phase scheduled to be completed and put into operation in September 2025.
Great Power said it will register a wholly-owned subsidiary or holding company in Guangde City, Anhui Province, as the implementation entity. The project site is Guangde City, Anhui Province.
Great Power said that the investment is to further optimize the layout of production capacity to meet the needs of future business development and market expansion. The funds required for the investment and production expansion will be self-financed or self-funded, and are expected to be raised through a combination of equity and debt.
It is understood that Great Power's previous two investments were announced in July and October this year, the investment project for the energy storage core and system integration, semi-solid-state batteries, as well as power square aluminum shell lithium batteries and capacitive lithium batteries.
