On October 23, Shenzhen Sunwoda Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Sunwoda Energy") and Gryphon Energy Pty Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Gryphon Energy") signed a strategic cooperation agreement at All Energy Australia 2024. Rob Mailler, Director of Gryphon Energy, and Yuan Ru, General Manager of Sunwoda Energy's global business, attended the signing ceremony and signed the agreement on behalf of both parties.
The project is located in Queensland, Australia, with a capacity of 1.6 GWh, making it one of the largest energy storage projects in Australia. It is scheduled for delivery and grid connection in 2026. Once operational, the project will significantly enhance the stability, reliability, and flexibility of the grid in the state and throughout Australia. Due to the large scale of the project and its complex dispatch management, it requires high standards for grid support and operation and maintenance services. Sunwoda Energy will use its self-developed 314Ah energy storage cell and NoahX 5MWh liquid-cooled energy storage system, which incorporates industry-leading Reverse DC coupling technology, to provide customers with more reliable, customized energy storage system solutions, ensuring high-quality project delivery.
As a global leader in integrated energy storage solutions, Sunwoda Energy is focused on expanding and building its global market presence, with Australia being one of its key overseas markets. In August of this year, Sunwoda Energy successfully connected a 5MW/11MWh project to the grid in New South Wales, one of Australia's most representative distributed PV-storage demonstration power plants. This project significantly improved the flexibility of photovoltaic power generation and provided a more flexible and economical approach to energy storage project development.
The collaboration between Sunwoda Energy and Gryphon Energy marks a milestone in their partnership and signals their joint efforts to develop the Australian energy storage market, with a commitment to providing safe and reliable energy storage system solutions to Australian customers. This agreement not only represents a significant step forward for both companies but also provides momentum and support for global energy development. Looking ahead, the two companies will continue to deepen their cooperation and contribute to the sustainable development of clean energy worldwide. Sunwoda Energy will remain dedicated to its philosophy of openness, cooperation, and win-win partnerships, leveraging its accumulated technical advantages and high-quality, safe, and reliable products to continue providing global customers with safe, reliable, and economical energy storage solutions. Sunwoda Energy is committed to working with global partners to build a sustainable future.
