The United States is still China's largest export market for lithium-ion batteries. From January to September 2024, the export value to the United States was US$10.106 billion, a year-on-year increase of 7.4%, accounting for 23.1% of China's total lithium-ion exports. The second largest market is Germany, with an export value of US$7.906 billion, a year-on-year increase of 6.6%, accounting for 18.1% of China's lithium-ion battery exports.The third largest market is Vietnam, with an export value of US$2.78 billion, a year-on-year increase of 27.9%, accounting for 18.1% of China's lithium-ion battery exports. 6.2% of China’s lithium-ion battery exports.

From January to September 2024, Fujian Province is still the largest source of China's lithium-ion battery exports, with an export value of US$11.85 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 9.6%, accounting for 27.1% of China's lithium-ion battery exports. The export quantity was 193 million units , a year-on-year increase of 7.7%. Guangdong Province ranked second, with an export value of US$10.39 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 11%, accounting for 23.8% of China's lithium-ion battery exports.The export quantity was 1.01 billion, a year-on-year increase of 10%. Jiangsu Province ranked third, with an export value of US$6.979 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 32.1%, accounting for 16% of China's lithium-ion battery exports.The export quantity was 560 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 13.3%. The export volume of lithium-ion batteries from Fujian, Guangdong and Jiangsu provinces accounts for 66.9% of the country's total export volume of lithium-ion batteries.

Among them, the three provinces with the largest year-on-year growth in export value from January to September 2024 are Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Hubei Province, and Liaoning Province, with export values ​​increasing by 202.4%, 176.2%, and 27% respectively. The three provinces and cities with the largest year-on-year increases in export volume were Hubei Province, Shanghai City and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, with export volume increases of 146.5%, 85.2% and 42.8% respectively.
