On 11 October, Huasun Energy announced at the International Green Technology and Eco-Products Exhibition (IGEM) in Malaysia that it has established an important strategic partnership with Malaysia's largest vertically-integrated solar EPC contractor, ITRAMAS Corporation Sdn. Bhd (ITRAMAS), to supply ITRAMAS with 1.5GW HJT solar modules to ITRAMAS.
Witnessed by Tuan Mohd Rafizi Bin Ramli, the Minister of Economy of Malaysia, Huasun and ITRAMAS formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), marking the opening of a new chapter in their cooperation. According to the agreement, starting from 2025, Huasun will gradually provide 700W+ high-efficiency heterojunction (HJT) modules for ITRAMAS' large-scale solar projects. With Huasun's technological expertise and innovation, this partnership will not only strengthen Malaysia's market position in the solar supply chain, but also introduce advanced PV technologies to the country and the wider ASEAN region.
Malaysia is located in the tropics, with abundant sunshine and long sunshine hours, and has the ideal natural conditions for solar PV power generation.In July 2023, the Malaysian government announced the National Energy Transformation Roadmap (NETR) Phase I, which aims to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050, with renewable energy sources accounting for 70 per cent of the total energy mix, of which solar energy accounts for 58 per cent.
