10GW Cell + 18GW Module Project Signed in India

Avaada Group, a renewable energy company from India, is reportedly planning to build a new wafer-to-cell-to-module plant, with the new plant being part of a Rs13,650 crore ($1.4 billion) investment by Avaada. The first phase of the project will establish a wafer-to-module program, with plans to build TOPCon cell capacity of 5GW and module capacity of 3GW.

In addition, India's PV module maker Solex Energy unveiled plans to invest about $1 billion in PV cell and module production capacity expansion. Solex Energy will invest in a 2GW solar cell production plant and plans to increase its production capacity to 5GW.At the same time, the company is also planning to expand its module capacity by 10 times, from 1.5GW to 15GW.
