The Saudi Arabian government’s power procurement arm, SPPC, has launched the sixth round of the Saudi Arabian government’s National Renewable Energy Program (NREP), issuing requests for quotation for four solar projects with a total capacity of 3GW.
The four projects are located in Najran, Jizan, Jazan and Hail regions, with capacities of 1.4 GWac, 600 MWac, 600 MWac and 400 MWac respectively.
The selected developers must develop and construct under the build-own-operate (BOO) model and prequalify for bidding by October 15.
In February, SPPC announced the winning bids for the fifth round of the program, allocating a total of 3.7GW of capacity to four projects.
