On the morning of August 20, 2024, Photon Crystal Energy held a grand inauguration ceremony for its 100MW perovskite pilot production line and the first product rollout in Danzao Town, Nanhai District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province. Guangdong has a strong industrial foundation and a dense urban cluster in the Greater Bay Area. To achieve the goals of "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality," it is necessary to vigorously develop distributed photovoltaic systems for commercial and industrial use, building-integrated photovoltaics, and clean energy technologies such as photovoltaic hydrogen production. As a new generation of photovoltaic technology, perovskite solar cells offer significant advantages, including abundant material sources, short production processes, low costs, and high conversion efficiency, demonstrating substantial potential to replace traditional crystalline silicon solar cells. This technology is particularly suitable for cultivating a local photovoltaic industry in Guangdong Province and Foshan City, making further breakthroughs in the clean energy sector.

Incubated by the Xianhu Laboratory in Foshan, Photon Crystal Energy's newly established 100MW perovskite pilot production line is the first of its kind in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The line uses fully localized equipment, operates with automated continuous production, and meets industry-leading standards. The pilot line adopts an exclusive ink formulation and full-printing technology, producing perovskite photovoltaic modules of 1.2 meters by 0.6 meters. These products boast high efficiency and low cost, with an expected annual output value of over one billion yuan once full production capacity is reached. The completion and commissioning of the pilot line mark a significant step for Photon Crystal Energy toward the large-scale industrial production and commercialization of perovskite modules. It also provides a solid foundation for the future expansion of GW-level perovskite production lines.

The commissioning of Photon Crystal Energy's 100MW perovskite pilot plant is not only an important milestone in the company's development but also a key indicator of the progress in perovskite photovoltaic technology, signifying the transition of full-printing perovskite technology from the laboratory to the pilot stage. Photon Crystal Energy will continue to drive innovation, creating affordable green photovoltaic products for all, and contribute to the green energy revolution and the ambitious goals of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality.
