According to the latest list of approved models and manufacturers (ALMM) of PV module manufacturers released by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) of India, several PV module manufacturers in the country have added TOPCon PV module production lines. Monocrystalline PERC PV modules now dominate the Indian PV market and are gradually phasing out multicrystalline silicon PV modules.

According to the ALMM list, 10 PV module manufacturers (11%) are currently manufacturing TOPCon PV modules in India. A total of 93 PV module manufacturers are now registered on the ALMM list.

Currently, 10 PV module manufacturers in India are producing PV modules based on this advanced technology, namely Waaree Renewable, Gautam Solar, Mundra (Adani) Solar, Premier Energies, RenewsSys, Luminous, Rayzon, Emmvee, Pahal Solar and Ganesh Bhara.

Gautam Solar can manufacture TOPCon PV modules in 16 categories ranging from 270W to 575W. Waaree manufactures TOPCon PV modules with a maximum power of 615W. On the other hand, RenewSys can manufacture TOPCon PV modules with a maximum power of 635W. Many companies, including Gautam Solar, are also producing bifacial TOPCon PV modules.

With the launch of PM Surya Ghar program, many companies are now trying to develop the Indian residential rooftop PV market. Many PV module manufacturers are launching TOPCon bifacial PV modules in the DCR category to meet the needs of consumers of residential rooftop PV systems who want to improve power generation efficiency in a smaller area.
