Recently, a groundbreaking (commissioning) ceremony was held for five projects in Dongchuan, Kunming, Yunnan Province, including the 20GW silicon rods rod project of Yuze Semiconductor.The project, with a total investment of over 5 billion yuan, commenced construction on April 18, 2023. The construction will be carried out in two phases, with the first phase expected to be commissioned by the end of November 2023, and the second phase to be completed and commissioned by June 2024.
Currently, Yuze Semiconductor has four bases nationwide: the Chuxiong base in Yunnan, the Guangnan base in Yunnan, the Dongchuan base in Kunming, and the Yichun base in Jiangxi. The company's main products are N-type and P-type wafers, with a planned capacity of 75GW.
Kunming Dongchuan Base: Yuze Semiconductor (Kunming) Co., Ltd. is located in Bigu Industrial Park, Dongchuan District, Kunming. The base plans to have a 20GW silicon rod production line. The project adopts Industry 4.0 intelligent manufacturing mode, a digital black-light factory, and a smart logistics system, creating the industry's first large-scale magnetic field crystal pulling factory, Yuze's first impurity-removal low-oxygen product factory, and pioneering the continuous direct pulling technology for granular silicon.
Yunnan Chuxiong Base: The Yuze Chuxiong base is a global leader in N-type wafer manufacturing, achieving numerous technological and process innovations in N-type wafer technology. The products cover the three mainstream technology routes of N-type cells: HJT, TOPCon, and IBC. The first phase 3GW silicon rods rod project at the Yuze Chuxiong base achieved the "Chuxiong speed" of signing, constructing, and commissioning within the same year, completing the process from signing to trial operation in 180 days.
Yunnan Guangnan Base: Yuze Semiconductor (Wenshan) Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Yuze Semiconductor Co., Ltd. It settled in the Xiban Industrial Park of Guangnan Industrial Demonstration Park, Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province in April 2022. The company plans a total capacity of 20GW for crystal pulling and slicing, with a total land area of 960 acres. The first phase plans for 20GW of crystal pulling and slicing: 10GW of crystal pulling and slicing capacity was ignited in March 2023, and another 10GW of crystal pulling and slicing capacity will be commissioned in the second half of 2024. It is understood that Wenshan Yuze adopts the latest crystal pulling and slicing automatic production lines in the industry, achieving further improvements and optimizations in production efficiency, manufacturing costs, and product quality.
Jiangxi Yichun Base: Yichun Yuze Semiconductor Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Yunnan Yuze, settled in Yichun Economic and Technological Development Zone in 2021, and has now built a 10GW slicing capacity.
