Recently, Tongwei and Bouygues Construction Australia signed a historic cooperation agreement, marking a significant milestone in Tongwei's global expansion of intelligent manufacturing. Under the agreement, the two parties will cooperate closely and jointly promote the construction of PV projects with a single project capacity exceeding 100MW.
The project is located in Australia with a total installed capacity of 114.88MW. This represents the first PV project with the supply capacity of a single project exceeding 100MW since Tongwei's intelligent manufacturing went global in 2022. The project is expected to commence supply in the third quarter of 2024.
Tongwei's commitment to advancing smart modules has played a crucial role in their market recognition after its engagement in the module segment. According to the Supply Agreement, Tongwei will supply its 182-72 Model TNC module products to the project. The product is manufactured with Tongwei's self-developed "Gene". With the support of independent research and development technology, it has been tested by TÜV Rheinland, an authoritative certification organization. Under the standard size (2278*1134mm), the front power of Tongwei's 182-72 Model TNC modules reaches 607.4W (about 20W higher than that of the same model of modules in the market), and the conversion efficiency breaks through to 23.51%, refreshing the record of TOPCon module power and efficiency of this model.
Providing high-quality service to global customers has been a key factor for Tongwei's intelligent manufacturing to be recognized by the global market. Several negotiations have been conducted for the project in 2023. In order to ensure the implementation of the project, Tongwei has enhanced customer value with six guarantees throughout the process, realized whole-process control of the quality assurance system, and achieved leading quality of modules and services in the market with the strongest quality assurance. Based on these efforts, both parties reached the cooperation agreement in Shanghai at the end of 2023.
