Foxconn announced at its Facebook page today (March 30th) that two EV models, Model C and Model E, developed by its subsidiary Foxtron, were respectively awarded with “Best Energy-Saving SUV” and “Best Concept Sedan” at the Bangkok International Motor Show (BIMS) for their excellent performance and technology innovation.
The 43rd BIMS was held from March 23rd to April 3rd, with more than 37 automotive brands participating in the event, where Model C, Model, and the MIH Platform build by Foxtron had participated in the show for the first time.
For the two electric passenger cars built by Foxtron, Model C is categorized as a SUV with high cost-performance value that is priced at within NT$1 million, and was awarded with “Best Energy-Saving SUV” this time, while Model E is a flagship sedan that targets mid-to-high end consumers and businesspersons, and was awarded with “Best Concept Sedan” for technology innovation.
Foxconn has been actively deploying in the EV market. Arun Plus, a subsidiary of the Petroleum Authority of Thailand (PTT), has recently announced to be forming a new joint venture Horizon Plus with Liyi International, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Foxconn. The two subsidiaries will co-establish a new plant in Thailand that is capable of producing 50K units per year during the preliminary phase, and aims to produce 150K units per year by 2030.
