Yet another affordable EV is available in Taiwan. Kia has officially announced the price tag for its EV6 in Taiwan, which starts from NT$1.549 million. Will it shape up as a threat to Tesla?
The BEV SUV Kia EV6 has recently been selected as the 2022 European Car of the Year. Sime Darby Kia Taiwan announced today that the EV6 is officially available starting from today at the official website. The vehicle starts at NT$1.549 million, and a deposit of NT$3000 would get you exclusive offers, including coupons for official accessories, household charging equipment, V2L external power sharing, and unlimited free fast charging service from charging operators working with Kia. Only 300 units of EV6 are available.
BEV SUV Kia EV6 started its national tour in Taiwan since March, and will be debuted at Hall 2 of Tainan Art Museum between March 12th and 13th. All fans of the vehicle should come along and admire its beauty.
As the first EV model of Kia, the EV6 is made with the brand new EGMP (Electric Global Modular Platform), and is capable of a maximum performance of 325ps and 61.7kg-m, with merely 5.2 seconds from 0 to 100. Aside from its ferocious performance, EV6 is also configured with excellent power management, where the equipped 58kWh/77.4kWh high voltage lithium batteries, as well as the 800V battery system, are able to charge from 10% to 80% in merely 18 minutes under a 240KW super high speed charging support, and it only takes 4.5 minutes to replenish sufficient power for 100km. With the collocation of the extended range battery and six smart kinetic energy regenerative braking systems, the EV6 is capable of reaching a maximum driving range of more than 500km. In addition, the EV6 is also supportive of V2L external power sharing, which offers diversified and convenience practicality in daily lives.
The inside of the vehicle is configured with two 12.3” panoramic curved displays, as well as an adjustable ambient light of 64 different colors, and 14 sets of top notch Meridian surround sound systems, offering the most prestigious theater-grade acoustic experience aside from the visual feast.
The EV6 is embedded with the DRIVE WiSE smart auxiliary system that conforms to SAE Level 2 self-driving, as well as safety technology such as the RSPA (Remote Smart Parking Assist) and the IFS LED smart front lighting system (Matrix headlight).
