Major mono-Si wafer supplier LONGi has announced a significant lowering of its quotes on 14 June, reports EnergyTrend, the green energy research division of TrendForce. The latest quotes of both standard and low-resistance wafers indicate noticeable drops from the quotes that were just released by the company on May 25.
For low-resistance mono-Si wafers, LONGi has revised the quote of its 180μm-thick M2 p-type products from RMB 4.25/pc to RMB 3.65/pc in China, registering a drop of RMB 0.6. In the overseas markets, LONGi has also marked down the quote of the same product from US$0.58/pc to US$0.495/pc, showing a reduction of US$0.085. The quoted prices of low-resistance mono-Si wafers in China and in overseas market have dropped by around 13.1% from the last update in late May.
For standard mono-Si wafers, the quote in China has been lowered from RMB 4.2/pc to RMB 3.65/pc. In the overseas markets, the quote of the same product has fallen from US$0.57/pc to US$0.495/pc. On the whole, the latest cut in the quoted prices of standard mono-Si wafers in China and the overseas markets amounts to around 12.9%.
