LONGi’s subsidiary LERRI Solar invests RMB 42 million in developing a 6MW distributed generation (DG) solar system at a factory in Daming Economic Development Zone in Handan City, Hebei province. The project construction was officially launched on August 13, marking Handan City’s first DG PV project.
Daming County started prompting green and high technology demonstration zone since 2012. Lerri Solar’s DG system will accelerate the Economic Development Zone’s energy mix to shift and will encourage more local companies to use DG energy resources.
Lerri Solar will use high-efficiency monocrystalline PV modules that meet requirement of China’s Top Runner Program for the 6MW DG project. The project is expected to generate nearly 6,000,000kWh of clean electricity per year after grid connection, offsetting approximately 4,855MT of CO2 emissions. Furthermore, the rooftop owner will receive rental of over RMB 100,000 every year.
