Ecoplexus to Develop 25MW of PV Projects in California

published: 2016-07-07 16:22

Ecoplexus Inc., a developer of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, today announced a 25 MW DC portfolio of projects across California. The projects are a combination of carport and ground-mounted installations, connecting behind-the-meter at a number of state facilities. The generating systems will provide clean energy to power the facilities, offset greenhouse gas emissions and reduce energy costs.

The portfolio will provide approximately 30.5GWh of clean electricity annually. That is enough to annually power almost 2,000 households, or offset roughly 21,000 metric tons of Carbon Dioxide. The first 7 MW will be completed in August 2016, while the remaining projects are scheduled to complete construction in the spring of 2017. The onsite facilities include state hospitals, military bases and a variety of other facilities.

"We are pleased to play a role in satisfying California's growing demand for clean energy," said John Gorman, CEO of Ecoplexus. "California has set a great example for other states to follow, and we are eager to support its efforts going forward."
