Solar Airplane "Solar Impluse 2" Arrived New York

Without a single drop of fuel but merely solar power, the airplane "Solar Impulse 2" flied and arrived New York City's JFK international airport during early morning on June 11th.

Solar Impulse 2 started its journey in Abu Dhabi on March 9th, 2015, and aimed to fly over the globe simply with solar power. In last June, Solar Impulse 2 landed Hawaii and officially entered the land of USA. After the winter, it re-began to fly and passed by San Francisco. On April 25th, it reached Silicon Valley in California. Before going to New York, Solar Impulse 2 landed in Phoenix City, Oklahoma State and Pennsylvania State.

The flight from Pennsylvania State to New York was in charged by AndréBorschberg. After arriving New York, Solar Impulse 2 successfully finished the mission of crossing the continental USA. When the weather is proper, it will started to fly over the Atlantic Ocean. Then Solar Impulse 2 will land in Europe or Africa and eventually return to its initial starting point Abu Dhabi and achieved the great flight around the globe.

Solar Impulse 2's flight establishes a technology paradigm. During the six weeks of crossing the USA, over 20,000 people have personally visited the airplane. Its official website's live broadcasting reached totaled 4 million views, and its Facebook exposed to more than 18 million views.
