SolarWorld, a global solar PV manufacturer, will present bifacial solar power modules with a newly-developed racking system and a 300W PV module consisted of 5-busbar PERC cells at this year’s Intersolar Europe.
Bifacial module solution
The bifacial solar modules are developed on basis of SolarWorld’s Sunmodule Bisun technology and Sunfix Bisun racking system. By capturing light reflected onto the rear side of the cells, the bifacial modules offer higher power yield of up to 25%, depending on the surface on which the system is installed.
Sunfix Bisun, the racking system, mounts the module at a distance of 30cm to the roof surface optimizing light capture for energy harvest. It consists of five pre-assembled components and is easy for installation. In addition, Sunfix Bisun can be attached to flat roofs with a roof-tilt of up to five degrees. It is suitable for various rooftop covers such as bitumen, gravel, foil or green roofs.
High-performance PERC cells
SolarWorld uses 5-busbar technology in conjunction with mono PERC cells and developed the 60-cell Sunmodule Plus SW 300 module with a 300 watt output. Currently, SolarWorld has been producing PERC cells with efficiency up to 22.04%.
By combining PERC cells with 5-busbar technology, output can be increased further. The new high performance module achieves an efficiency level of nearly 18% and output of over 300W.
The Intersolar Europe will be held from June 22 to 24 in Munich, Germany.
