China’s Dongfeng Motor announced to work with France’s PSA on small electrical vehicle (EV) development, aiming at the global market.
PSA Group owns Peugeot, Citroen, DS, and other car brands. The partnership between Dongfeng Motor and PSA will allow them to jointly develop electric vehicle platform e-CMP and come up with a series of small EVs using e-CMP as the basis. They are targeting on the worldwide market. PSA announced in advance that all three brands - Peugeot, Citroen, and DS will have its own EV series in the future.
Dongfeng Motor indicated that the two companies will work together regarding R&D, marketing, production, finance, and human resource to expand their market shares in the global market.
