Among the restructuring process, SunEdison has appointed John S. Dubel as the Chief Restructuring Officer, who works at Dubel & Associates, LLC, as CEO.
Dubel & Associates, LLC, founded by John Dubel in 1999, is a provider of restructuring and turnaround services to underperforming companies. Dubel has over 30 years of experience in Board representation, turnaround management, crisis management, operational restructurings and divestments in the distressed space.
Dubel will report directly to the independent directors of SunEdison's Board of Directors and lead SunEdison's restructuring efforts. He will have sole authority and discretion on behalf of the management of SunEdison with respect to all matters in connection with the company's restructuring initiatives.
SunEdison filed for chapter 11 in the Southern District of New York on April 21, 2016.
