SkyPower Sings Four PPAs for 200MW of PV Projects in India

SkyPower continuous its solar developing plans by signing four new PPAs with the Indian state of Telangana to build and operate a total of 200MWac of solar PV projects. SkyPower has already secured 400MWac of solar project in the states of Madhya Pradesh and Telangana in 2015.

"India is a world leader in deploying solar, not only with its significant targets but through its very actions," said Kerry Adler, SkyPower's President and Chief Executive Officer. "SkyPower is committed to making a powerful contribution to India's goal of generating 100 GW of solar power by 2022, while the people of Telangana will benefit from clean, reliable and affordable energy as a result of the vision and leadership of this great state."

SkyPower has introduced several investment and development programs in many countries since 2015. It announced to invest US$2.2 billion in developing up to 1GW of solar power in Kenya in July, 2015, and announced to form a joint venture in Mexico for Mexican market. In October 2015, SkyPower unveiled multiple utility-scale solar projects totaling 2.35GW in Bangladesh, Djibouti and India.
