published: 2016-01-27 16:05

Solar tracking system NEXTracker, a Flex company, has announced to expand its NX Horizon Tracker manufacturing plant in Mexico to meet the growing market as well as to enhance the company’s presence in the nation. The solar trackers made in Mexico can be applied for utility scale projects and distributed generation systems.

"Our trackers are particularly well-suited to Mexico,” said NEXTracker CEO Dan Shugar. “NX Horizon is optimized for integration into the growing number of utility scale projects being deployed. Our relationship with Mexican-based manufacturing enables us to secure high quality components, reduce material lead times – and accelerate project completion.”

NEXTracker partnered with Buenavista Renewables (BVR) to build the 16MW Los Santos solar power plant in Mexico. The plant utilizes NEXTracker’s NX Horizon, which were deployed quickly thanks to domestic system supply. As the installation timeline can be shorten when using the NX Horizon solution, it helps reduce construction costs so that the total cost could be more competitive.

The Flex plant in Guadalajara, Mexico manufactures NEXTracker's self-powered controller. Additional components are supplied by partners in Coahuila and Tijuana. All facilities are ISO 9001 certified.
