Toyo Engineering Corporation (Toyo Engineering) has set to develop the 96.2MW Hosoe Mega Solar Project with Pacifico Energy K.K. in Kyushu, Japan. The Project will comprise PV modules supplied from Trina solar.

The Hosoe Mega Solar Project will be covering a land of approximately 140 hectares where was originally designed as a golf course. Trina Solar will deliver its PV modules to the project from the fourth quarter of 2016 to January 2018, while the construction is expected to be completed in the 2018 spring. When fully operating, the project could generate enough power for 30,000 local households and help reduce around 68,200 tons of CO2 per year.

Trina has been involved in over 6.5GW of solar installation between January and September 2015, and Japan is one of the company’s key markets. Japan seems to increase its solar energy share in the future, so Trina Solar has already come up with suitable strategies for the nation’s residential, mega solar and commercial solar segments .

Ms. Ye Chen, President of Trina Solar Japan Ltd., commented, "We are thrilled to be partnering again with Toyo Engineering for another large supply agreement. We are delighted to see that the superior quality of our products alongside our extensive after-sales services has helped us maintain lasting business relationships with recurring customers.”

The Hosoe Mega Solar Project will be one of the largest PV projects in Kyushu when being completed in 2018.
