To meet strong demand in the Netherlands’ residential rooftop solar market, Solar Frontier signed to deliver 2MW of CIS modules to Home-NRG in addition to the pre-delivered 8MW modules. The CIS modules will be utilized for 92 Dutch projects with capacity ranging from 10kW to 150kW.
In 2015, Solar Frontier will ship up to 10MW of CIS module to Home-NRG for the Dutch residential rooftop PV market. Their partnership will be extended to 2016.
Solar Frontier authorized Home-NRG as its distributor for the small residential and commercial PV solutions in the Netherlands since October 2013. Home-NRG uses its own test sites with data monitoring systems, enabling the company to compare different PV technologies under identical conditions, and it found Solar Frontier was an ideal partner for the Dutch market.
“The unique characteristics of their CIS PowerModules are impressive and ensure stable power generation for many years,” said Robert ter Horst, General Manager at Home-NRG.
Approximately 60% of solar PV installations in the Netherlands are residential rooftop systems in 2015. Solar Frontier’s CIS modules are popular in the nation because of its black surface and the frame design which enable the installers to have aesthetically integrated buildings.
