Atlantic Wind & Solar, Inc. has received notice from Ontario's IESO (Independent Electricity System Operator) that its previously announced 500 kWac utility-scale solar power plant in Mississauga, ON, Canada is now in full operation, generating power to the grid, and producing revenues for its stakeholders.

The $3 million commercial rooftop installation, consisting of 1,980 305W panels from Canadian Solar, is expected to produce 12,600 MWh of power over the next 20 years supplying Ontario with clean reliable energy. The power will be sold under the province's Feed-In-Tariff program. The installation uses inverters from Advanced Energy.

President and CEO Mr. John Wilkes commented, "Each project completion further confirms our ability to convert established relationships of like-minded people and organizations into positive revenue-oriented projects that benefit our shareholder base and the environment. We continue to ensure that our product offering is competitive and have aggressive expansion plans, including strategic acquisitions and Joint Ventures in areas that fit our business model."
