SolarWorld Americas has given CGE Energy the distinction of being an “Authorized Project Developer” of SolarWorld solar projects both nationally and internationally. By exclusively specifying SolarWorld’s solar products, CGE Energy will have company’s support and backing in each energy project developed.
This Authorized Project Developer status follows the two companies’ entering into a memorandum of understanding relationship to collaborate on the development, design and construction of solar PV projects at multiple YMCA facilities for the YMCA/JCC of Greater Toledo, as well as additional solar project collaborations across the nation.
Both CGE Energy and SolarWorld have made a commitment to inspire the next generation of energy innovators, and their YMCA partnership is an example of bringing cutting-edge technology to youth. Apart from this venture, CGE Energy is nearing completion of its pilot, Net Zero Energy Experience at YMCA Storer Camps in Jackson, Michigan. This is a first-of-its-kind total immersion learning environment focused on renewable energy and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education. SolarWorld annually challenges young scientists working in PV-related disciplines to vie for its research prize, the SolarWorld Junior Einstein Award.
Currently, CGE Energy and SolarWorld are engineering multiple large-scale solar PV systems across YMCA facilities in Michigan and Ohio.
