TOYO Engineering to Build a 56MW PV Plant in Japan

TOYO Engineering Corporation has awarded a 56.87MW solar PV plant in Osaki City, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan, by Pacifico Energy Furukawa. The large-scale PV plant is expected to be completed by the end of 2016.

PV Tech reports that TOYO now boasts a varied portfolio of large-scale PV projects in Japan. The company is developing a 230MW installation in Okayama Prefecture and a 96MW project in Miyazaki Prefecture. Added the 56.87MW project, TOYO now possesses a combined capacity of up to 458MW in Japan.

When completed, power generated from the Osaki project will be sold to Tohoku Electric Power Co.
