Solar Energy Corporation of India (SCEI) unveiled 28 solar projects, totaling 505MW of installation capacity, in India. These solar plants are the second phase of the nation’s JNNSM program.
These solar plants will be ranged from 10 to 40MW each, and are planned to be located in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Mahārāṣṭra. According to PV Tech (Chinese ed.), the projects is related to ACME’s 100MW solar power plant constructed in Rajasthan, which is also a part of the second phase of JNNSM program. SECI has signed a PPA with ACME to buy electricity generated by the 100MW plant.
In fiscal year 2015/2-16, the total Viability Gap Funding (VGF) of India amounts INR4.3 billion (approximately US$67 million), shares about a half of the total VGF, INR8.7 billion.
