ACME, an Indian solar power company, has commissioned a 100MW solar power plant in Rajasthan, India. The solar plant is consisted of five units of 20MW solar plants and is a National Solar Mission Phase II project.
India is one of the most ambitious nations that targets at developing solar power. Modi’s government set an aim to install up to 100GW of solar power by 2030, and the Prime Minister strongly encourage installations through national policies and financial supports.
“ACME has commissioned the project in 150 days of the laying of the foundation stone,” noted in the company’s statement.
Power generated from the project will be evacuated through a 132 KV line linked to the project site, according to BusinessLine. Electricity will be supplied to Rajasthan under the power purchase agreement signed with the Solar Energy Corporation of India.
ACME has completed a 25MW plant in Madhya Pradesh. The plant generated 25GWh of solar power during the past six months since the installation.
