China’s Newly-Installed PV Capacity Reaches 5.04GW in the First Quarter of 2015

China’s newly-added PV installation reached 5.04GW by 1Q15, in which, 4.38GW was from PV plants and 0.66GW from distributed systems. The amount of PV generation in the first quarter was 8,000,000,000 kWh. Up until the end of March 2015, the cumulative PV installation in China came to 33.12GW, in which, 27.79GW was from PV plants and 5.33GW from distributed systems.

Regions with larger installations in 1Q15 are: Xinjiang (1.10GW), Inner Mongolia (0.82GW), Zhejiang (0.70GW), Gansu (0.59GW), Jiangsu (0.43GW). The provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) with over 1.00GW of cumulative installation are Gansu (5.76GW), Xinjiang (4.66GW), Qinghai (4.26GW), Inner Mongolia (3.84GW), Jiangsu (3.00GW), Ningxia (2.17GW), Hebei (1.52GW), and Zhejiang (1.42GW).
