To go closer to one of the world’s fastest emerging markets, JinkoSolar will celebrate the inauguration of its Chilean subsidiary, alongside its partners and colleagues. The subsidiary will be JinkoSolar’s headquarters in Latin America.
"Chile has great potential due to the positive attitude of its citizens towards renewable energy and the government’s support, providing adequate regulation. Many Latin American countries should follow Chile’s example. JinkoSolar has a real commitment to Chile as a market with great growth potential, not only in Latin America but also on the global stage," commented Carlos Arguedas , Director Latin America & Caribbean.
In Chile, solar energy is used primarily in the northern part of the country, a region with one of the highest levels of solar radiation in the world, specifically between the Region of Arica and Parinacota Coquimbo. However, throughout the country, solar radiation is strong enough to make solar energy an economic and efficient option for varied applications.
The opening of the subsidiary in Chile is very important for JinkoSolar. The office acts not only as the headquarters for JinkoSolar in Latin America, but also provides local support via a strong team to support the growing market.
"We see huge potential for the country, and we believe that Chile is a very important market not only for Jinko, but for the entire solar industry. So far we have supplied more than 250 MW to our strategic partners in Chile and going for more ," says Carlos Arguedas.
