Solar-Fabrik obtains the “Made in Europe” certification from the VDE for its Premium and Premium incell modules in size L and XM. These modules are manufactured in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany, with European cells and therefore benefit from a 10% increase on the feed-in tariff for the French market.
All Premium standard modules and all building integrated Premium incell modules are manufactured within the European Economic Area. All manufacturing stages – from cell-soldering, to laminating, to electrical testing – take place in Freiburg, Germany, where Solar-Fabrik produces Premium modules since 1996.
Premium modules with European cells comply with two requirements of the Order of January 7, 2013 of the French Ministry of the Environment granting owners of PV installations a +10% increase on the feed-in tariff. Modules with cells from countries outside the EU get an increase of +5%.
The “Made in Europe” certification issued by the institute VDE is valid for the following modules types: Premium L mono, Premium incell L mono, Premium L mono black, Premium incell L mono black, Premium XM mono and Premium incell XM mono black. The VDE is an internationally acclaimed certification body known for the quality and rigor of its testing.
