Renewable Energy Corporation(REC), a leading global provider of solar electricity solutions, is a speaker and bronze sponsor at Greentech Media’s Solar Summit 2013, which takes place April 22 to 24 in Phoenix, Arizona.
“REC is excited to be part of Greentech Media’s Solar Summit 2013, as the U.S. will turn into the third-largest market globally for solar electricity and be one of the most important markets for REC in the future,” said Jan Jacob Boom-Wichers, Managing Director, REC Americas LLC.
Jan Jacob Boom-Wichers will be one of five industry professionals on a panel discussing product differentiation and the changing go-to-market approach of their companies. Currently, the majority of solar panels available offer only little differentiation. The challenge for manufacturers is how to differentiate in order to survive the difficult market conditions. Accordingly, the discussion will cover the varying value propositions, innovation for a sustainable market, standardization versus specialization, and from niche to mainstream. The panel is scheduled for Tuesday April 23 from 2:00 pm to 2:45 pm.
A separate panel – “Where the Rubber Hits the Road: Effective Marketing for Solar” – will be moderated by Greentech Media CEO, Scott Clavenna, and have Misty Benham, Head of Operations and Marketing, REC Americas LLC as part of a discussion on cost-efficient marketing measures to push sales. The panel is programmed for Tuesday, April 23 from 4:45 pm to 5:45 pm.
“REC is a fast-growing supplier of solar panels in the U.S. Together with our partner Mainstream Energy, we have deployed more than 150 MW of solar panels nationwide and are actively expanding our footprint in this promising market”, commented Jan-Jacob Boom-Wichers.
Renewable Energy Corporation ASA has been a shareholder in Mainstream Energy based in San Luis Obispo since 2008, a leading PV systems integrator and distribution company in the U.S.
