SolarWorld AG will introduce new solutions for the installation of solar power modules at the Ecotec in Athens, the largest trade show for renewable energy in Greece, from March 15 to 18. The company will also unveil a new program for installers who can qualify as certified trade partners.
"Greece is one of the most important solar markets of the future in Europe," said SolarWorld Chairman and CEO Frank Asbeck. "The conditions for solar power are so ideal here that it will be possible to develop a sustainable pillar for the Greek economy within a short amount of time. Solar power doesn't just create jobs, it will also make an important contribution to ensuring a reliable supply of electricity for people in Greece."
For the first time, SolarWorld AG will present a mounting system this year that was especially developed for small and medium-size solar power systems. The Sunfix® plus for flat roofs is made of aluminum profiles and is particularly light, robust and easy to assemble. It complements the Sunfix® product line which was already successfully introduced in Greece and has been deployed primarily for ground-mounted installations until now. The mounting system is combined with "Made in Germany" quality – the modules of the Sunmodule series that can also be seen at the trade show and that have been classified as particularly suitable for use in coastal areas ("salt mist certificate") in accordance with the criteria of the SGS (Société Générale de Surveillance). Along with the proven polycrystalline SW 250, the particularly aesthetic black modules of the Mono black type and modules for off-grid use will be featured.
The new trade partner program that will be launched while the trade show is underway is geared toward installers who want to qualify as certified SolarWorld trade partners. The program includes technical training, support in planning, designing and marketing solar power systems and regular product training.
