Astronergy, a subsidiary of Chint Group, has been chosen to participate in what will be one of the largest solar systems in Korea in 2011. The uniqueness of the system, which will be commissioned by year end, is the connection to the grid using underwater cables.
Astronergy, along with Chint Power Systems, another subsidiary of Chint Group, provided mono-crystalline modules of 6MWp as well as photovoltaic inverters of 3MWp for the project. Astronergy has been well recognized as a total system component solution provider.
"Increasing the proportion of renewable energy in the total energy structure is becoming a worldwide consensus. We are very happy to see the take-off of solar applications in Korea and will be more engaged in developing PV industry in Korea with local partners." Astronergy CMO, Mr. Alan Yuan commented.
Astronergy will make a considerable impact in Korea with the execution of this project. "The proven engineering ability will help us gain more business opportunities. At the same time, the project will expand the local hiring and contribute to both energy and nature conservation. We are very confident in the progressive development of the Korean solar market in the future." stated Mr. Chang Jyhping, Chief Executive Officer of Astronergy Solar Korea.
