GCL-Poly Energy Holdings Limited (“GCL-Poly”, stock code: 3800.HK) announced that Suzhou GCL-Poly Industrial Application Research Institute Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of GCL-Poly, officially laid its construction foundation today, which marked a brand-new stage of GCL-Poly's photovoltaic business toward its cutting-edge technological development. Present at the foundation-laying ceremony, among others, included government officers Mr. Yan Li, Mayor of Suzhou, Mr. Ma Minglong, Secretary of Suzhou Industrial Park Working Committee, Mr. Pu Ronggao, Deputy Mayor of Suzhou, and Mr. Zhu Gongshan, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of GCL-Poly.
As a R&D hub specialised in photovoltaic new energy and related business under GCL-Poly, Suzhou GCL-Poly Industrial Application Research Institute (“GCL-Poly Research Institute”) mainly undertakes the scientific and technological research and development of photovoltaic materials such as polysilicon and wafer, photovoltaic equipment and relevant products, and it is the first industrial application-oriented R&D institution in China. GCL-Poly Research Institute is committed to integrating and mobilising the scientific research and talent forces of enterprises to develop low cost, high efficiency, and premium quality new environment-friendly energy products through sustained technological reform and innovation to achieve extensive application of green energy in the society as early as possible.
GCL-Poly Research Institute will forge seamless connection and interaction with GCL-Poly’s R&D Center located in the State of Washington of the US in scientific research area.
