Since the energy transition is the common goal globally, the Taiwanese government is promoting offshore wind power development through policy support and technological innovation, aiming to establish Taiwan as the Asia-Pacific’s green energy hub. Wind Energy Asia 2025 (WEA2025) will be held from February 25 to 27 at the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center. As Taiwan’s only international B2B exhibition dedicated to the wind power supply chain, WEA2025 will bring together central and local government officials, wind energy giants, international enterprises, and industry leaders to explore market trends, supply chain advancements, and technological breakthroughs. The event will serve as the ultimate platform for wind energy industry, injecting momentum into Taiwan’s offshore wind sector.
By the end of 2024, Taiwan has installed 374 wind turbines, reaching a total capacity of 3.04 GW, ranking seventh globally, with the solid industry strength. WEA2025, as Taiwan’s premier event focusing on the wind power supply chain, is built on the pillars of cross-disciplinary integration, diversity, and internationalization. The show will feature forums, business networking sessions, the site visit, and the welcome reception, creating the strongest B2B business collaboration platform for the wind energy industry.
WEA2025 forums will focus on three key topics: global wind power market trends, manufacturing supply chains, and O&M (operations and maintenance) technologies. Experts from Taiwan’s Energy administration and Industrial Development Administration will analyze Taiwan’s offshore wind policies, while Metal Industries Research & Development Centre will share insights into the current offshore wind development. Leading wind energy companies such as IX Renewables, Shinfox Far East, and Wynnergy Marine will provide in-depth sharing on offshore decommissioning, risk reduction and related application and solutions etc. These speeches will offer delegates a comprehensive understanding of Taiwan’s supply chain and smart O&M innovations.
Additionally, WEA2025 will feature business networking events, fostering deep collaborations. These will provide companies with valuable opportunities to connect with potential partners and expand into global markets.
To further enhance industry knowledge and technological application, WEA2025 will conduct an exclusive technical site visit on the final day of the exhibition. Participants will have the opportunity to visit Taiwan’s leading wind power training and technology development hubs, gaining firsthand experience of the latest advancements in the field. The tour will include a visit to the Marine Technology Industry Innovation Zone’s training and certification center, where attendees will learn about GWO and OPITO international certification standards and courses. The visit will also feature Taiwan’s only dual-mode marine engineering simulation system, allowing participants to experience dynamic positioning (DP) and offshore lifting operations, providing the industry with comprehensive professional knowledge and hands-on experience in wind energy.
