On September 4, Trina Solar and Vanda RE signed a 1.2GW photovoltaic module framework agreement in Indonesia.
Trina Solar will supply 210mm Vertex N TOPCon modules for Vanda RE’s solar+storage system in the Riau Islands, Indonesia.
The project is located in the Riau Islands, Indonesia, with an installed capacity of 2GW photovoltaic + 4.4GWh energy storage. The project is expected to be completed in 2027. The project received conditional approval from the Singapore Energy Market Authority (EMA) last year as part of the Indonesian and Singaporean governments' plan to create a green electricity trade corridor between the two countries. The project will provide Singapore with 300MWh of non-intermittent zero-emission electricity, enough energy per year to power 390,000 households in Singapore.
This module from Trina Solar recently broke the world record, with an output power of 740.6W in the laboratory. With its reliability, high energy yield, excellent performance and quality, Trina Solar has won two industry honors for ten consecutive years: the highest achiever of the 2024 Photovoltaic Module Index (PVMI) issued by RETC and the best performer issued by Kiwa PV Evolution Labs.

According to the 2024 semi-annual report released by Trina Solar on the evening of August 30, the company's photovoltaic silicon wafer, battery and module production capacity are expected to reach 55GW, 105GW and 120GW respectively by the end of 2024. In the first half of the year, 34GW of photovoltaic modules were shipped, an increase of more than 25% year-on-year, of which the cumulative shipments of 210 Supreme series modules exceeded 140GW, ranking first in the world.
As early as 2023, Trina Solar has laid out bases in Indonesia (1GW of cells, 1GW of modules) and the United States (5GW of modules). Both bases are expected to be put into production in the second half of 2024. Together with the company's 6.5GW of integrated production capacity already built overseas, it will further ensure high-quality global delivery.
