On July 15, the National Bureau of Statistics released important economic data for the first half of the year. In June, the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 5.3% year-on-year (the growth rate of added value is the actual growth rate after deducting price factors). From a month-on-month perspective, in June, the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 0.42% from the previous month. From January to June, the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 6.0% year-on-year.
In terms of energy production, industrial power production above designated size remained stable.
In June, industrial power generation above designated size was 768.5 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 2.3%, the same growth rate as in May. The average daily power generation of industrial power above designated size was 25.62 billion kWh. From January to June, industrial power generation above designated size was 4435.4 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 5.2%.
In June, the decline of industrial thermal power and nuclear power above designated size was enlarged, the growth rate of hydropower was accelerated, wind power turned from decline to increase, and the growth rate of solar power generation fell.
Among them, industrial solar power generation above designated size was 35.2 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 18.1%, and the growth rate fell by 11.0 percentage points from May. From January to June, solar power generation was 189.9 billion kWh, an increase of 27.1%.
In terms of industrial added value above designated size, the output of solar cells (photovoltaic cells) in June was 49.14GW, a year-on-year decrease of 0.1%, and the output of solar cells (photovoltaic cells) from January to June was 286.29GW, a year-on-year increase of 17.8%.
In addition, the photovoltaic industry chain has maintained good growth momentum, with the output of major raw materials polysilicon, monocrystalline silicon, and ultra-white glass for solar industry increasing by 55.4%, 43.6%, and 42.8% year-on-year, respectively.
