Chinese wafer manufacturer Zhonghuan Semiconductor announced a new round of price hikes on P-type wafers on April 2. According to its notice, P-type wafers that are 218mm in size and 160μm thickness are now quoted at RMB 9.77 per piece, showing an increase of RMB 0.21 from their previous quote. The quote for 210mm P-type wafers are now at RMB 9.05 per piece, translating to a hike of RMB 0.2. The quote for 182mm P-type wafers has been raised by RMB 0.14 to RMB 6.79 per piece. And finally, the quote for 158mm P-type wafers has also been raised by RMB 0.14 to RMB 5.74 per piece. These price increases officially came into effect on April 3.
